Yes, It is free for hobbyist use only.

Can I call a regular phone number?

No, We are not connected to a PSTN "Public Switched Telephone Network".

Do I need to be a part of any particular GMRS network?

No, All GMRS users regardless of whatever network you use are welcome to join.

Do I need to keep my phone connected to keep my service?

Short answer Yes, Endpoints that sit not connected will be removed after 60 days

Should I tell you when my contact information changes?
